National Grid, the UK’s leading energy infrastructure company, is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our Warwick finance team. Key Responsibilities
- Process invoices, expenses, and payment runs accurately
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and reconciliations
- Support accounts payable/receivable functions
- Maintain financial records in SAP systems
- Prepare basic financial reports and analysis
- Respond to vendor and internal stakeholder queries
- Assist with audit preparation and documentation
- Identify process improvement opportunities
Qualifications & Skills
Essential:
- AAT Level 2/3 or studying towards accounting qualification
- 1+ years’ experience in finance/accounting role
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
Desirable:
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Understanding of utility sector finance
Salary & Benefits
- £24,000 – £28,000 per annum
- 26 days holiday + bank holidays
