Job Description:
Qatar Airways is currently seeking skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Operators to join our ground services team at Hamad International Airport in Doha. As an Equipment Operator, you will play a key role in supporting airport operations by operating a variety of ground support equipment (GSE) for the timely and safe movement of aircraft, cargo, and baggage. Job Responsibilities:
- Operate ground support equipment such as baggage tractors, tugs, forklifts, high-loaders, and conveyor belts
- Ensure proper and safe handling of baggage, cargo, and mail during loading and unloading
- Position equipment accurately and securely next to aircraft and facilities
- Conduct daily inspections and routine maintenance checks on assigned equipment
- Report any defects or mechanical issues to the maintenance team immediately
- Follow all safety and security regulations and company operational procedures
- Assist ramp agents and other ground staff as required
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of assigned equipment
- Ensure timely completion of all assigned operational tasks
- Participate in periodic training and certification updates for equipment handling
Education and Qualification:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Qatari driving license (preferably heavy vehicle license)
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating airport ground support equipment or similar machinery
- Basic understanding of airport operations and safety protocols
- Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
- Good communication skills and teamwork attitude
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
